  Two years on
It's two years to the day that George and I first met in person, so I've had a few tears today and also lots of warm memories, looking through all the photos of my trips to Ohio. I'll never forget the first time I met him, at the airport in Columbus, I was nervous but I knew as soon as I looked into his eyes and he smiled at me that everything would be just fine.

Trying to impress, he took me to Castaways for dinner (it was a great meal) that first evening and then we talked into the wee small hours of the morning. I felt as if I was home at last, being with him.

I still miss him more than words can say. Yesterday it was six months since he died. I would not trade the 18 months I had with George for anything, and I would give up everything I own if I could have him back for just five minutes.

Meeting George made me a better person.

I would love to see you write more...leave some of your wit and humor here as well. Laughter is after all the child of pain. I don't talk about George with you because I did not know him well. I knew enough to know he was one of the Good Ones.
